Your Words Stay Yours, Wherever They Go
The invisible watermark inside WritersProof, listed with C2PA as com.writerslogic.zwc-watermark.1
You paste your work into a client's doc, a submission portal, an email. Weeks later someone asks whether you really wrote it. With an invisible mark woven between your words, the answer is already there: nothing on the page looks different, no reader can see it, and anyone who doubts you can check it.
How It Works
From the text you wrote to a mark you can prove, in four steps. Nothing you or your readers see ever changes.
Your text, your signing key and your evidence chain are combined into one fingerprint that only this exact wording can produce. Change a word and the fingerprint changes with it.
That fingerprint becomes 32 invisible characters. Nothing on the page looks different; no reader, editor or client will ever see them.
The invisible characters are spread between your words at positions only your key can reproduce, so nobody can lift the mark off your text and drop it onto theirs.
Anyone who doubts you can check the text in front of them, with no need for your original draft. If the words match the mark, it is yours, and the check says so.
Under the Hood
Built to Hold Up
Survives the Paste
Paste it into an email, a shared doc, a submission portal or a CMS. The mark travels with your words through text editors, word processors and web platforms, because it lives in the characters themselves, not in the file.
Bound to Your Words
Change a sentence and the mark no longer matches. That is the point: nobody can lift your seal onto text you did not write, and nobody can quietly edit what you sealed and still call it yours.
Checkable Without Your Draft
Whoever doubts you does not need your original file, your account or your permission. They check the text in front of them against your evidence chain and get an answer.
Proof Others Recognize
Why the Mark Survives a Paste
Most content signatures are tied to the exact bytes of a file. Copy the text out, paste it somewhere new, and that signature is gone. Your watermark is registered with C2PA as a soft binding, the kind built to survive exactly that: copy-paste, re-encoding and format conversion, where a byte-level signature (like c2pa.hash.data) would break.
You get both. While the file is untouched, the byte-level signature gives an exact match. Once the text has been pasted somewhere else, the watermark still ties it back to your record, so the proof follows your words rather than the file they started in.
